Expectation Regarding Use of Ministry Guidelines

Per our Pastor: All Ministers are expected to be familiar with the written Guidelines for their Ministry and to follow them as written unless otherwise directed by another Presider.

 

Approval Process for New Ministers prior to being on Ministry Schedule and Person Responsible

Ministers of Holy Communion and Ministers of the Word:

– Prior to being added to the Ministry Schedule, all new Ministers of Holy Communion and Ministers of the Word must receive training at Sacred Heart or the Diocese and be cleared by the Pastor.

– Person Responsible: Teofla Rich (619-701-3933) will make sure that new Ministers receive training, are cleared by the Pastor, and then notify Kate McKenzie when they are ready to go on the Ministry Schedule.

Ministers of Hospitality:

– Prior to being added to the Ministry Schedule, all new Ministers of Hospitality must be cleared by person in charge of Hospitality or designee.

– Person Responsible: Sheila Ragan (sheila@oceanpointfinancial.com) or her designee will make sure that new Ministers receive training and then notify Kate McKenzie when they are ready to go on the Ministry Schedule.

Altar Servers:

– Prior to being added to the Ministry Schedule, all new Altar Servers must be trained at Sacred Heart and cleared by the person in charge of Altar Servers.

– Person Responsible: Rachel & Reef Keener (619-968-0309 or 619-446-9327) will make sure that new Altar Servers receive training and then notify Kate McKenzie when they are ready to go on the Ministry Schedule.
