Advocates for Foster Children

Become a child advocate and make a lasting difference in the life of a foster child. Right now 270 children are waiting for a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) here in San Diego County.

With your help, we can find advocates for these kids. More than just a mentor, CASA volunteers give hope to a child who has none. For Volunteer Inquiries call Voices for Children at 858-598-2243 or visit www.speakupnow.org for more information.

Juvenile Court Book Club and Tutoring

Like to read? Share your love of the written word with juvenile detainees in San Diego County. Check out the Juvenile Court Book Club. Book clubs meet once a month in various facilities. San Diego Catholic Worker

The San Diego Catholic Worker offers many ways to serve the members of the San Diego community through its own programs and by supporting other organizations that feed, clothe or provide health and supportive services to those in need. Food Service for Those in Need

Volunteers meet in the Sacred Heart Parish Hall where food is prepared and served. All food services for the hungry are held every other Tuesday from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. If you are interested in volunteering or have questions, please contact Jack Hamlin at jackhamlin55@gmail.com.
