As most of you have probably heard, on the morning of Christmas Eve Father Tom went to the hospital for a cough that he has had for many weeks. He thought that it was a respiratory issue but they discovered a heart issue which kept him in the hospital for additional tests. The Good News is that the doctors sent him home to the rectory yesterday so that he can regain his strength! He is resting and in good spirits. He thanks everyone for their prayers and asks for your continued prayers and well wishes. He is being cared for by his sister Mary Ellen and her family. They ask for no visitors at this time to keep him as healthy as possible while he awaits heart surgery.
Sacred Heart is truly a Parish Built on Love.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Please Note These Times!

Yes!!! You can be in the
OB Christmas Parade….
|
The Creation Care Team at Sacred Heart is participating in the OB Christmas parade this Saturday, December 7th to promote care of our planet. We have space for 30 people and would love to have as many as possible join us. The theme of the parade this year is ‘Miracle on Newport’. We ask everyone to dress in festive dress or even better… dress in something that says that we wish to preserve our resources (like trees) or doing without plastics. (Miracles… as examples) We are hoping to make this a very fun event and hope all will join us. Let’s hear it for care of our environment!!!! PS. We are walking in Group B this year so you can actually walk with us and then see the rest of the parade. Contact Jean for more information at:
