Christmas Tree Sale Fundraiser
|
![]() |
Have you ordered your Christmas Tree/Wreath from the Summit Youth Ministry yet? If not, the last day to order is THIS SUNDAY NOVEMBER 15th! Christmas may look different this year, but that’s not stopping us from our annual Christmas Tree Sales Fundraiser to support our Youth Ministry programs and activities! All proceeds from the Tree Sale go directly towards programs that enrich our teens in Youth Ministry! These are high-quality trees cut fresh the day they leave from Oregon! They are beautiful trees that smell absolutely GLORIOUS and last a VERY long time. Again, the proceeds go to our youth ministry and will help get teens scholarships for retreats, improvements for the youth room, and more! In addition, you can purchase a Tree or Wreath and have it sent to a local military family via the “Trees for Troops” program. This is a great option for those families that use a fake tree or will be out of town for Christmas, and this will still benefit our youth ministry as we will still receive proceeds from this purchase! There are 2 ways to buy!
After the pre-order you can pick up your tree at our festive tree lot on Sunday, December 6th from 8:30-1:00PM at the Church courtyard! LAST DAY TO ORDER IS NOVEMBER 15th! For more information on how to order a tree or wreath, go here: http://sacredheartob.org/youth-ministry/christmas-tree-sale-fundraiser/ Thanks so much everybody, and let me be the very first to say…MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! 32nd Sunday in Ordinary Time
|
For at least this weekend Mass will be in the church at 4:30 PM on Saturday and at 8:00 AM, 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM on Sunday. We will find out on Tuesday if Mass needs to be shifted back outside. At least we missed this weekend’s rain. Tomorrow morning’s Mass link for 8:00 AM is on the Sacred Heart YouTube channel here: https://youtu.be/8fi5c73Pmnw Fr. Emmanuel still makes available the link to his Sunday homily on his blog. You can find the link to his blog here: Here is the Sacred Heart YouTube channel for all Parish videos: This week’s bulletin is here. God bless you! |
Dear Fellow Parishioners, The music for this week’s Mass is mostly well known although the song for preparation is one we haven’t sung in a long while. Here is a link for that song, ‘I Want to Walk as a Child of the Light’ https://youtu.be/8SpBgnvx_JA This week the theme of the readings is Wisdom. I found a few songs matching that theme to share with you. You can download the lyrics here. ‘Wisdom’ by a group from Vanuatu called He Speaks https://youtu.be/RKRXr-ImlUs ‘Wisdom Song’ by Laura Woodley Osman https://youtu.be/tMnIVe4-QUY ‘Perfect Wisdom of Our God’ by Keith and Kristyn Getty https://youtu.be/hSnzYnOe6kI ‘Wisdom and Grace’ https://youtu.be/T0JNlCaihnc And the last song that I will share with you today is one that resonates for me with all that’s going on in our country and our world right now, ‘In Need’ by Praise and Harmony. https://youtu.be/smm1cFRjz3I God bless you all and keep you safe and healthy in these unsettled times. Music and Mass Links for
Solemnity of All Saints

So that we can share a candle procession honoring members of our Parish family who have passed away this year, we are streaming the 10:00 AM Mass live. Mass will be in the church this weekend at 4:30 PM on Saturday and at 8:00 AM, 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM on Sunday. Tomorrow morning’s Mass link for 10:00 AM link on the Sacred Heart YouTube channel is here: https://youtu.be/8omkSG6XBqE Almost immediately after Mass we will have a Rosary for Father Tom. We would like to thank Ann Wieczorek for leading us in praying the Glorious Mysteries. The Rosary will also be streamed. Fr. Emmanuel still makes available the link to his Sunday homily on his blog. You can find the link to his blog here: Here is the Sacred Heart YouTube channel for all Parish videos: This week’s bulletin is here. God bless you! |
Dear Fellow Parishioners, This week we are celebrating the Feast of All Saints and during our Mass this week we will be having the candle procession to remember the members of the congregation who passed away this past year. Here is a link to the music lyrics. There is only one song that you may not be familiar with, ‘Carry Me Home’ that I’ll be singing for Preparation of the Gifts in honor of all of our deceased loved ones. Here is a link to hear it: https://youtu.be/5bwMWMTJ2Q4 This week’s Gospel is The Sermon on the Mount so I have two Beatitudes songs to share: ‘Beatitudes’ by Jami Smith https://youtu.be/sd9HQyLbXdo The next song is for All Saints: ‘Your Heart’ by Chris Tomlin https://youtu.be/oNlgG_-wjpM The next two songs are more in keeping with All Souls Day, remembering those friends and family that we have lost: ‘The Gathering of Spirits’ by Carrie Newcomer https://youtu.be/M1WrNisRhDU and ‘Go in Peace’ by Sarah Hart. https://youtu.be/xod_35I91aY This song is in our missal, Breaking Bread #669. The last share of the day should cheer you up, now that I’ve made you all sad. There are a hundred different interpretations of ‘When the Saints Go Marching In’ on YouTube including ones by Louis Armstrong, B.B. King, Fats Domino and Elvis Presley, but this one from an Andre Rieu concert is absolutely joyful: https://youtu.be/5K1Th64YGCs Stay safe, stay healthy and God bless. Janis Cantú |

As Father Tom prepares for additional surgery the Pastoral Council invites you to join us to pray the Rosary for him following the 10:00AM Mass this Sunday morning. The Rosary will be available to view on the Parish YouTube channel for those who want to pray along at home. We would like to thank Ann Wieczorek for leading us in praying the Glorious Mysteries. Details on viewing the 10:00AM Mass and Rosary will follow tomorrow and Sunday morning.
