Did you know there’s a Wine Tent at Oktoberfest? Not to be outdone, we’ll have wine available as well! Also, savor Fr. Billy’s special Märzen and Kölsch craft beers, locally brewed by his skilled hands. It’s fermenting now.

Beginning This Month

Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults

These classes are for anyone who is an adult and needs any of the following Sacraments: Baptism, First Communion or Confirmation. These classes are also for people who are Catholic and want to know more about their faith. If Interested in joining contact Stephen Williams. Classes begin Monday September 23rd at 6pm at Sacred Heart Academy.

Adult Bible Study on Women in the New Testament

We will be using Liturgical Press’ study on the “Women in the New Testament.” This will be a 6-week study! Classes begin Tuesday October 1^st at 1pm in the Parish Hall and 7pm on Zoom. Contact Stephen Williams if you would like to sign up.

Children Religious Education

These class are for children kindergarten to fifth grade who want to learn more about their faith and grow in their love for God. These are also the classes for the First Communion program, which is a two year program. Classes begin Sunday October 6^th at 8:30am at Sacred Heart Academy.

Children’s Liturgy of the Word

This is a program at the 10am Mass. During the Liturgy of the Word at Mass kids listen to the Mass readings and homily at their level. Kids return to Mass for the Liturgy of the Eucharist. This program begins Sundays October 6^th and is only at the 10am Masses

No Registration is needed for this program. For more information contact Stephen Williams.

Confirmation Classes

The confirmation classes are for high schoolers who are seeking the sacrament of Confirmation. This is a two year program. Classes begin Wednesday October 9^th at 6:30pm at Sacred Heart Academy.

In 2011 a record 8 million liters of beer was consumed at Oktoberfest. The 2011 Centennial year for Sacred Heart Church of OB was huge globally, just sayin’.
