Music for
Third Sunday of Easter

Dear Fellow Parishioners,

This year’s readings don’t tell us the story of the disciples walking on the road to Emmaus and encountering Jesus. The Gospel begins with just one line referring to it, but our song for Preparation, ‘Two Were Bound for Emmaus’, and most of my songs to share are based on that beautiful story. The words for that and all the other songs for Mass can be found in this  attachment.

‘Didn’t Our Hearts Burn Within Us’ by Randy Platow

‘Are Not Our Hearts’ by Mark David Girardin

‘I Can See (The Emmaus Road)’ by Steve Green

‘The Road to Emmaus’ by Jason Upton

My next two shares are based on Psalm 4, the psalm for this Sunday:

‘Psalm 4: When I Call’ by The Psalms Project sung by Melissa Breems

‘Answer Me When I Call’ by Timeless Psalter Project

And the last two songs are just beautiful songs for the Easter season:

‘I’ve Just Seen Jesus’ This youtuber did not identify the singers, but it sounds like Larnelle Harris and Sandi Patty.

‘Forever’ by Nathan Pacheco

I hope you find all of them uplifting and that they bring you joy as they do for me.

God bless you all.
