Online Resources

Laudate

This is the number one resource app for all Catholics. This has all the resources we would need as Catholics such as: the daily readings, Liturgy of the Hours, the Order of the Mass, the Bible, the Catechism of the Catholic Church, Catholic prayers, and more!

Short Prayers

This app has a whole bunch of short Catholic prayers to scroll through. I find it fun to scroll through the prayers and find new ones to prayer. But my favorite function is that when you shake your phone when the app is open it will bring you to a random Catholic prayer.

Magnificat

This app is just like the mass booklet that can be mailed to you. This app will have the mass readings, mass prayers, liturgy of the hour prayers, and daily reflection. This app is free right now, but for it to be free you need to go to the website and sign up for the free subscription. After that you can download the app and have it free.

Halo

This app is for meditation. You can choose the length of your meditation, chose the voice and theme of the meditation. The theme ranges from prayers to psalms to saints to themes such as trust. Parts of this app is free, but not all of it. A monthly subscription is 8.99 a month and a year is 59.99. I strongly recommend this app created by University of Dallas Seminarians.

IBreviary

This app has the Liturgy of the Hours, which is the official set of prayers marking the hours of each day and sanctifying the day with prayer. These are the prayers priest pray everyday and the same prayers you can find in our Christian Prayer books in the chapel. If you miss the structure and routine of mass this will give you the same feeling.

In addition here is a prayer to say to receive a spiritual communion.

My Jesus,
I believe that You
are present in the Most Holy Sacrament.
I love You above all things,
and I desire to receive You into my soul.
Since I cannot at this moment
receive You sacramentally,
come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You.
Amen.
