Music For The
27th Sunday in Ordinary Time

Dear Fellow Parishioners,

This week’s songs should all be familiar to you and the lyrics can be found in this attachment. The readings this week are about marriage, so most of the following selections focus on love and marriage.

Just as this week’s psalm asks God to bless us and describes blessings in family life, this first song reflects that psalm with a video showing a happy family.

Just for fun and to share their joy, I included this video of the Sisters of Our Lady Immaculate (SOLI) answering the ‘Jerusalema’ dance challenge, a gospel-influenced song by South African producer Master KG and performed by singer-songwriter Nomcebo. https://youtu.be/qDMZRIO9Uy4

This week’s toe-tapper was chosen for its joyous, upbeat message. ‘We Are Yours’ by I Am They

Enjoy the music and try to keep cool! God bless you and keep you.

Music For The
26th Sunday in Ordinary Time

Dear Fellow Parishioners,

This week the choir will not be singing any new songs, so sing out along with us! The words to all the songs are in this attachment.

This week the diocese decided to change all the readings to match the recorded homily about the Eucharist, so don’t expect to be able to follow along in your missal. The new readings are as follows:

  • First Reading: [882-8] Isaiah 32:15-18,
  • Responsorial Psalm: [122] Ps 34:2-3, 16-17, 18-19, 20-21
  • Second Reading: [43] Acts 2:42-47
  • Gospel: [46] Luke 24:13-35

Most of the music selections this week are inspired by these readings with a few random beauties to keep things interesting!

Enjoy the music and have a blessings-filled week.

Music For The
25th Sunday in Ordinary Time

Dear Fellow Parishioners,

This week we have one new song for you, ‘Seek the Lord’, by Roc O’Connor. You can hear it ahead of time at this link: https://youtu.be/DBjPg4bTHEM. The other songs should all be familiar to you. You can find the words for all the music in this attachment.

The first song I want to share with you today is ‘Credo’ sung beautifully by Anna Hawkins https://youtu.be/5u0Jkd1nkdA. It is the Creed we say at mass in Latin.

The next two songs were chosen because in the second reading St. James tells us, “the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace for those who cultivate peace.”

The rest reflect this week’s Gospel in which Jesus tell the Apostles, “If anyone wishes to be first, he shall be the last of all and the servant of all.”

Enjoy the music and have a safe and healthy week! God bless you all’

Hello Parents & Teens,

Registration is open for confirmation! You will be able to register until September 26th and then the first session will be held on Wednesday, October 6th. Click here to register!

The diocese has made it a requirement for all confirmation programs to now be two year programs. In light of this, the first year of this program will be primarily academic and take place in the classroom.
