Music For The
31st Sunday in Ordinary Time

Dear Fellow Parishioners,

It looks like this will be the last week that we will be streaming the Mass. Please let the church office know if it is important to you that we keep going!

The songs at Mass this week are all songs we’ve done before except for our closing song, ‘With One Voice’. Here’s a link to let you check it out before mass: https://youtu.be/wwXtDuLFHJg The words to this song and all the others can be found in this attachment.

This may be the last week that I post song selections for you, too, although I’m hoping to be able to set something up on the church website for those of you who have been enjoying the music. I hope it can be worked out.

This week’s selections are mostly based on the Sunday readings as well as those for Monday which is the Feast of All Saints. In Sunday’s Gospel Jesus is asked about the greatest commandment. For All Saints’ Day the Gospel recounts the Beatitudes.

I hope you’ve enjoyed the music I’ve shared with you over the last many months. May God bless you all with good health and joy.

Janis Cantú

Music For The
30th Sunday in Ordinary Time

Dear Fellow Parishioners,

This week the choir is singing all songs we’ve done before and you can find the words in this attachment.

The Gospel tells us the story of Bartimaeus, the blind man in Jericho, who is given sight by Jesus. The majority of songs this week are inspired by his story.

This song is introduced by the singer/composer with a backstory that lasts about a minute and a half. ‘Different’ by Micah Tyler  https://youtu.be/xUT4trsrBCw

The title for this next song caught my eye and, listening to it, I thought that it expresses how many of us feel (although you might change the beverage that you would offer him.) ‘Beer with Jesus’ by Thomas Rhett  https://youtu.be/dphMriny1Js

I hope you enjoy the music and have a great week! God bless.
