Welcome Committee
Help Us Reach Out To New Parishioners

The circumstances under which we have lived the past 2 years, has resulted in a fairly dormant Welcome Committee at Sacred Heart….but we are ready to roll again!!!

The Welcome Committee is comprised of Parishioners who personally welcome people who have registered as Parishioners of Sacred Heart. We offer a personal and warm welcome, provide the New Parishioner information about the Church, a contact list for various Ministries and Groups, answer any questions, and explore how they would like to be involved in the Church activities. As a long-time member of the Welcome Committee, I have met wonderful new Parishioners at their home, the Church, at a café for coffee….at a time and place convenient and comfortable for both parties. At the height of our New Parishioner volume, a Welcome Committee member was meeting a New Parishioner once a month, on average.

As our world is “reopening”, we are looking for adult Parishioners (any age or gender), who are interested in participating in this rewarding Ministry. We would love to add some young adults to our ranks, as we are gratefully seeing our young adult population growing!!   If you would enjoy being a “friendly face” offering a warm welcome to new members of our Sacred Heart Community, please connect to explore how the Welcome Committee can help!
Thanks for your prayerful consideration!

Act of Consecration

At the request of Pope Francis and our local Bishops, we will come together in prayer for the consecration of humanity, and Russia and Ukraine in particular, to the Immaculate Heart of Mary at the end of our Friday, March 25th Mass. For those of you who cannot share with us at this time, you are welcome to pray on your own at 10:30 am with Pope Francis or sometime during your day.

Please see this letter from Pope Francis and the Act of Consecration Prayer.
