Scam Emails Asking For Money
Supposedly From Father Billy

Several parishioners have contacted the parish office about emails “supposedly” sent by Fr. Billy asking for money for someone in-need, someone who has had an emergency who needs money or other false reasons. Fr. Billy would NEVER do this. It is a scam.

These emails will often ask for the recipient to buy a gift card and then send the various account numbers, pins and other numbers in a reply to the email. This is a scam. NEVER do this. If you receive these requests are asked to do it through Venmo, Google Pay, Apple Pay or any other electronic methods, NEVER do it. It’s a scam.

If you are in doubt about an email that you receive asking for direct monetary payments, do not reply to the email. It’s best that you create a brand new email, send the email to Fr. Billy at bzondler@sacredheartob.org and ask him in the email you send to him if he has requested something from you, whether it’s money or something else. You can also call the parish office at 619-224-2746.

If in doubt about any communication asking you for direct payment of money, research… never reply with payments.

Food Truck Party!

That’s right, it’s a party and a food truck in the middle of July at Scared Heart!

Our program begins next Monday and goes through Friday from 9:00 am through – 12:00 noon.

This program invites children of all ages to get on a roll with God as a parade of Food Trucks rolls into their neighborhood for the summer’s biggest party! Using Matthew 6:11; “Give us this day our daily bread”, children are invited to pray as Jesus teaches. These words serve as a reminder that everything we have comes from God – and our daily needs are met by God.

Through stories in both the Old and New Testaments, this VBS opens kids’ eyes to the countless ways God provides, loves, and cares for us while inviting them to join God in providing, loving, and caring for others. The goal of Food Truck Party is to help children build on the practice of using daily prayer to turn to God for their needs – and also to serve as the hands of God in ensuring that the needs of others are met.

Our program is curated for kids 4 years old to 11 years old. Kids 12 years old and older can participate as team leaders and helpers. VBS will be July 17th-July 21st we will be opening up 8:40am for early drop off but the program will begin at 9am and end at 12pm. On Friday at noon we will have a Mass for all the kids and family members to attend, so that everyone can feel the VBS magic! This cost for VBS will be $60 per child. You can pay for VBS on the ONLINE GIVING under the tab that says “Religious VBS Registration.”
