First Public Masses Since March…
But What About For Those That It’s Unsafe To Attend

We are all excited that this weekend public Masses will resume in Sacred Heart Church. The blessing that it is to be at Mass can’t be described. However, like me, many of us have wondered what will be available to those that for safety reasons cannot attend?

Since March we have been lucky to have a Mass recorded, edited and posted online for viewing on Sunday. I have a degree in Radio and Television and have worked in media for all of my adult life. What we have seen is a TV show with all of the same production elements. Some scenes have been shot after cameras have been moved to different locations. Other editing was done after the recording was completed. Obviously, this is something that can’t be done with a live Mass.

What we know for sure is that we will be providing a live stream of the 4:30 PM Mass on Saturdays. There will be two cameras on each side of the church in locations that will not interfere in the celebration of Mass. People will be able to watch Mass live or afterwards when it is uploaded to the Sacred Heart OB YouTube channel.

If at other Masses attendance is such that we will need to have people in the Parish hall, the Mass will be streamed live for those in the hall to view. That Mass will be watched live in the hall on YouTube and later be saved there for viewing as well.

Keep in mind, this is a complicated project and process. Problems could arise that may mean things will not work properly or not work at all. Please be patient and caring as we all work together to bring the Lord and Mass to everyone.
