Sacred Heart Church of Ocean Beach welcomes you as you seek to enrich your faith life and explore the possibility of becoming a Catholic Christian. Our community shares and celebrates this journey with you, through a process called The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA). We offer the OCIA program through a series of sessions held Monday evenings throughout the calendar year. Join us for Mass and prayerfully reflect on starting this life-changing experience.

Two programs designed for youth, the Order of Christian Initiation for Children (age 8 to 8th grade) and the Order of Christian Initiation for Teens (high school to age 18), are also available. The format follows that of the adult OCIA program but in a manner adapted for the understanding and maturation of children and teens.
