Dear Fellow Parishioners, I hope your Easter was as wonderful as mine. I wish you could have been there to see the young children at the Easter egg hunt after the 10:00 am Mass! It was so wonderful to see them and their joy on Easter morning. This week’s Gospel is the story of the Apostle Thomas, who got the forever nickname of Doubting Thomas, poor man! So I have some songs for you based on that and on what Jesus said to him: “Blessed are those who have not seen and have believed.” So in addition to inspiring my sharing choices for today, it also inspired one of the songs during Mass today. It was new to me this year, so I suspect it will be new to you as well: ‘Though Not Seeing You’ https://youtu.be/Zt_PmZURPwE. The words to this song and all the others from Mass can be found in this attachment. ‘Thomas’ Song’ by Ken Young ‘He Did (Doubting Thomas’ Song)” by Blaine Garner ‘Blessed Are Those Who’ve Never Seen’ Carroll Roberson ‘I Have Not Seen, Yet I Believe’ This song was a favorite of my parents. I hope it’s one of yours as well. ‘I Believe’ by Perry Como This next song truly touched my heart and soul. The lyrics were written by someone in a concentration camp, so the faith that person maintained is very humbling. ‘I Believe’ by Mark Miller Tomorrow is Divine Mercy Sunday and the Chaplet will be prayed at a special Mass at 3:00 PM this Sunday. For those of you who can’t make it, I have included the following in my offerings for tomorrow. ‘The Chaplet of Divine Mercy in Song’ ‘Divine Praises’ Matt Maher and Audrey Assad ‘Jesus, I Trust in You’ Sarah Hart and Angus McDonell May God bless you all with His Divine Mercy today and every day.
